Marionette/Swift Animation

Marionette (previously Swift Animation) is a tool that makes authoring animations easier and quicker for animators and non-animators in creative productions. It uses a mix of motion capture and fully free-form keyframing with using SteamVR tracking.

Marionette is built in Unity using the Universal Render Pipeline for a stable 90+ FPS VR experience.

Marionette was founded on the research from our Master’s Thesis, Developing a Virtual Reality Animation Tool in C++. Although I am not part of the project anymore, Marionette is still in development, but has pivoted towards camera based, AI-driven motion capture. Check it out on Marionette’s website.
